One of the challenges of renovating an old brick house is trying not to disturb existing window openings when the interior needs to accomodate a different use. This solution used the existing window openings in a fun and creative way. You can actually see outside to the sideyard through the upper cabinets. Glass blocks above the countertop allow natural light in and gracefully flow with the ceramic tile backsplash. Meanwhile, the outside of the home retains it’s traditional look.
